Kitchens
The hardest-working room, made calm.
A kitchen has to cook, clean, gather, and disappear. These are the ideas we think through — in general terms, as design inspiration.

Layout
How a kitchen flows — between cooking, cleaning, gathering, and passing through. We think about work triangles, traffic paths, and where the room meets the rest of the home.
Storage
Storage that disappears when you don't need it and appears exactly where you do. Pantries, deep drawers, integrated organization, and the quiet details that keep counters clear.
Surfaces
Countertops, backsplashes, and floors chosen for how they live — cream stone that softens light, warm oak that deepens, tile that grounds. Materials that age well, not just photograph well.
Lighting
Layered light: ambient for the room, task for the work, and accent for the moments that matter. Dimmable, warm, and placed so the kitchen feels right at six in the morning and ten at night.
Fixtures
Taps, hardware, and fittings as the jewelry of the room — brushed brass that patinas, matte black that stays quiet. Small choices that the hand touches every day.
Project planning
Thinking through sequence, selections, and the decisions that need to come early. A general sense of how a kitchen project moves — not a binding cost or timeline.

The detail
Where the hand meets the room
A kitchen lives in its details — the pull of a drawer, the turn of a tap, the way light catches a counter edge. These are the moments a considered remodel gets right, and the kind of thinking Ava can help you explore.
